Why is Gender Identity still in DSM but not Homosexuality?

I am not a professional but I would guess it has something to do with the fact that transgender individuals may receive gender reassignment therapy... in other words, there is something about them to be amended medically if they elect to go that route. With that being said, I do think there has been a movement to change this.
