How do I turn off pop ups on IE9?

I made the huge mistake of upgrading to Internet Explorer 9. Now my webpages are going crazy with pop ups? I can't find the control to turn them off. Like everything else in IE9 it's hidden. Does anyone know how to turn off the pop ups or should I just change my web browser to Google Chrome?
