How does Halle Berry get her short naturally curly hair so straight?

I'm biracial (black and white), and have long, really curly hair. Halle Berry's hairstyle is short and straight, and she is biracial as well. I was wondering if anyone knows how she gets her hair to be straight despite it being so short, and what methods/ products she used, because I would like to do the same. Thanks :)
