Why do I keep losing internet connection on my laptop?

The internet on my laptop will last for about 15 minutes tops. It will randomly stop loading web pages (it just loads forever) and I have to restart my laptop to fix it. When it disconnects it still shows me connected in the control panel (it shows a connection of 4 bars). I have Windows 7 and this laptop is about a week old. I am connected wirelessly to my modem (which is in a different room). I regularly use Google Chrome but Firefox and Internet Explorer stop working as well. I know that the problem isn't too much internet access in my home cuz it's 3:43 A.M. right now and I'm the only one accessing the internet in my home right now. Can someone help me please? Wired connection isn't an option. I'm really tired of restarting my laptop every 15 minutes. It's really stupi-- *internet fails*
