Your essay is very good but there is not a lot of reference (Like you talk of philosophers but don't cite names) to other thinkers doctrines. I think that Descartes Method have a lot of similitude with Aristotle theories of causes (Physic and Metaphycis) and other Skeptics doctrines about perceptions and the reasoning faculty (Sextus Empiricus). But im pretty sure that for you assignment, your essay is sufficient.

What can i do to straighten my hair?

you can get a perm or use a flat iron. as long as you use flat iron spray(cantu shea butter flat iron spray is what i use and it smells great) which protects the hair from heat. i have a prosilk digital flat iron that works really well and it's not too expensive and i use bonacure hairtherapy smoothing shampoo and conditioner and that really helps get rid of frizz and kinks in my hair. also make sure you don't use heat tools on your hair everyday because that can cause split ends and damage to your hair. hope this helped a bit :)

Flash Crashes? Possible Virus?

Okay, this is really annoying me. I tried starting up Mozilla, and when I loaded Xat, something went wrong with the flash and it crashed. I tried refreshing and Mozilla just stopped working. I tried using Chrome, but whenever I try to do something flash related, such as Youtube or Xat, then I get an Error Message about a plugin called Shockwave Flash has crashed. Something like that. Something is definitely wrong. Also, I have Facebook Chat and Aim connected, and whenever I try to talk to someone, that crashes too. I think I have a Virus

IE randomly opens - brand new computer?

I got a new Toshiba Satellite C660 laptop this afternoon. One of the first things I did with my new computer is install Google Chrome, so that is the only thing ie has been used for. I also changed google chrome to my default browser. But now every 20 minutes or so IE just opens up ninemsn for no apparent reason. At first I thought there must be some default keyboard shortcut that automatically opens IE, but since it opened after I had not even touched the computer for a few minutes it seems to be just opening by itself. Surely it can't be a virus, so far I've only been on Google, Yahoo, Facebook, youtube, eBay, The local newspaper site, and my Uni's site, all of which are reasonably secure sites. I've had this computer for only 6 hours, it's unlikely it already has malware on it. Any suggestions to stop IE doing this?

Can someone tell me what this oldschool spaceship game is called?

Well, this game is A LOT like Galaga, except you could get different guns. For instance, if you collected a yellow thing (can't remember if it was a circle or square or whatever. I think it was a circle) you would get the yellow ammo. Then, if you got another yellow circle thing, it was the next level up of the yellow ammo. But say you got a blue circle thing, then you would start over on the first level of blue ammo. You fought a bunch of other spaceships like in Galaga, and then at the end you fought a big mother ship. It looked almost exactly like Galaga, but I distinctly remember the ammo thing, and I just played an online version of Galaga and it did not have that, unless there is like a sequel or something to it. Please help? You could play co-op too, if that helps. I remember playing on my friend's xbox. Either that or the computer. Did I used to be depressed?

It just occured to me that I may have been depressed when I was younger. My parents were fighting, about to get a divorce, and I remember feeling alone. I hated going home after school because I knew what was waiting. At first, I remember getting thoughts about running away, and then I began getting thoughts about how it would be cool if I could just die and be born again in a different life. I barely ever smiled, never concentrated in school, and I remember always having nightmares. I distinctly remember having a dream about my parents stopping fighting and my life getting better, and I woke up and cried for almost two hours when I realized that it was a dream. Now, my parents are still together, perfectly happy, and so am I. But when I think back to those times, I realized that I may have been depressed. My new Windows 7 laptop is racist. What should I do?

I was really excited to get my new laptop with Windows 7 for my birthday. However recently my new laptop seems to be defective since it seems I received a racist laptop. Every time it loads up to the login screen I can distinctly hear the laptop call me the b word. Change text preferences for Google Chrome?

I'm on Mac OSX snow leopard, and was downloading fonts, Was looking them up on Fontbook. I noticed on Chrome that my fonts were changed, so I disabled those fonts (that I downloaded), and it went back to normal, besides everything is bold. I checked Chrome preferences and all of the fonts are restored to default, which is what it's always been. I was wondering if there was a way to restore it back without reinstalling chrome? Thanks.

No Drop Down Menu On Facebook?

I have a major problem in facebook.The problem is that i don't get any drop down menu.I wanted to edit my profile to add a language but there was no drop down menu.I have added languages before and i know that when you type in the text box a drop down menu appears for you to chose a language from.I am not getting that menu.Also when i try to find people on facebook,i want to add a location filter but again there is no drop down menu.Usually lets say i type "cali" as the location i would get a drop down menu with various names such as "Los Angeles,California" etc. to chose from.I am not getting that.I have tried opening facebook in chrome,internet explorer and mozilla firefox but in vain.Even restarting my computer does help.I didn't even change any privacy or account setting.Please help me!

Ok, well i have a dell inspiron mini netbook. I have the nickelodeon version if that matters. Since it is nickelodeon themed, it came with a nick them on the inside as well. Nick slime, spongebob stuff, things like that. And, it also came with the option to turn it to a normal theme if you wanted. so i did. I changed it back to a regular windows like, chrome colored theme. What can I do to fix my incredibly dry curly hair?

I'm biracial, and I have curly hair. It probably is more damaged than it should be. I've dyed it a few times over the years and flat ironed it as well, but I have stopped dyeing and haven't flat ironed it in a year or so. Anyway, it's SOOOOO dry—when I'm done washing my hair, (unless I put something on it) it completely shrivels up and becomes this horrible dry mess. I found this amazing product that works for my hair (it weighs it down and moisturizes), but I can't use that forever. I want my hair to be naturally moisturized. I feel like all the natural oils are gone, which is funny, because a couple of years ago, my hair was TOO oily. I don't know what to do to make my hair healthy/moist again...I don't want to have to depend on a product to do that. Help?

Best mufflers for added power?

I want to add a new muffler on my car (And possibly a cat back system later on) and need help choosing one. I was thinking a glasspack, but they're cheap and I've never used one. My mechanic offered me a nice muffler for $100, and said they're usually about $200, I didn't catch the name, but it was bigger than the glass pack, and had an insert to quiet it when needed. It was also smoked chrome rather than whatever the glasspack is made of. Has anyone used a glasspack before? Do they do much? My mechanic drags and does custom exhaust fabrications so I trust his opinions, but he didn't say much about the glasspacks. Are they any good? Do they add any power? They're cheap enough that if I don't like it I could replace it, but I'd rather not go through the trouble. Also, I understand a muffler alone won't make my car a rocket, but I'd like a better tone, and maybe a little extra power.

Problem with viewing youtube videos...?

For the past couple of months every time I try to watch videos on youtube they take a while to load, sometimes up to five minutes. It started out as only a few times, but now it is every video I try to watch. Did I used to be depressed?

It just occured to me that I may have been depressed when I was younger. My parents were fighting, about to get a divorce, and I remember feeling alone. I hated going home after school because I knew what was waiting. At first, I remember getting thoughts about running away, and then I began getting thoughts about how it would be cool if I could just die and be born again in a different life. I barely ever smiled, never concentrated in school, and I remember always having nightmares. I distinctly remember having a dream about my parents stopping fighting and my life getting better, and I woke up and cried for almost two hours when I realized that it was a dream. Now, my parents are still together, perfectly happy, and so am I. But when I think back to those times, I realized that I may have been depressed. I was only in the third or fourth grade, but I'm still afraid of going back to that place. What do you think? Do you think I may have been depressed?

Does anyone else have a really awkward family situation? See I became a Muslim like a year ago but I still live with my parents and it’s just really awkward when we’re all out together because I wear hijab and fully cover myself but my mom wears shorts and tank tops so people are constantly staring at us and seem surprised when I call her mom. How can I grow my hair out?

Okay, so during the school year I straighten my hair everyday. I have biracial hair so its really nappy and frizzy when I don't. :/ A couple of years ago I cut my hair from my boob area to my shoulders and I HATE it. The father's genes usually play a heavy role in how his offspring will look like. To me, all Blasians look the same no matter which parent is which, but you are right about the black/white offsprings. I've been using google chrome for about a year now, and it's worked beautifully on everything, except for now. It works on everything except for facebook. It lets me log on, but every time I go to 'like' something or check my notifications, the screen goes blank and I'm forced to go to 'facebook.com' again. I then tried facebook on Safari and it works perfectly. I really like using google chrome, though, so I'd like to fix whatever is going on. Thanks

Too many questions to resolve your problem, like what internet security do you use? What does the security do when it detects it, is there an option to remove it? What you need to do is go through all your programs and everything you have never heard of or don't need any more, delete it. Just also be careful of what you are deleting so you don't get bigger problems. If you do not know what you are doing or are worried, just take the computer to a computer shop and they will fix everything in a couple hours. As long as you go through all your programs you should be fine. As long as your comp isn't crashing and you can still log into various accounts of things, its fine.

Your eyes are suppose to work together to get you clear vision so I would wear them for at least 4 days before going back to your doctor. Make sure you put them in first thing in the morning. If the add powers are different in each eye then that could cause you some problems. Also make sure that one lens is not inside out. Some patients have such bad vision that they can't tell if it is or isn't in right by looking at it.

alright, so I got this Windows 7 computer around a year ago, and it was awesome. The browser I started using was Google Chrome, and it was extremely fast, and I was very satisfied. However, my browser started doing this thing around 4 months after I got it- If I clicked on something while another page was loading, it would NEVER stop loading. It got to the point at which if I tried closing it and opening it again, it would feature a blank page and claim that it was loading, but no matter how long you left it there, it would keep on going. It was a pleasant dream. I was very close with a boy the whole time and it was like we were teens on an adventure. The dream kept changing but he was always there. I was using my laptop and suddenly my mozilla firefox and my google chrome stopped working completely and they wont download again, and i am left with internet explorer. At the same time the internet browsers stopped working, I soon realized that when I click links on all of the search engines (bing, google, ask, etc.) it redirects me to the same couple of websites for every link, i even read the url, and its completely different than the website it redirects me to. Some of the websites are becoolsearch.net, shopica.com, the pheonix university website etc. Help anyone?

Whenever I go to scribd it says "optimizing your scribd experience" and refreshes itself in an endless loop. I have the gmail extra on my chrome on my desktop, and I really like how it works, but then I installed it on my new laptop and it doesn't work the same. On my desktop if I click the little red gmail envelope it drops down a menu showing my most recent new emails, but it doesn't do this on my laptop. Feeling as though I'm getting full quicker, nausea after meals, constipation. What could it be?

I'm 17, and a male. I usually feel sick in the morning, mainly after or during breakfast, and it usually goes away a while before lunch around 12:30. Also, lately, I've been feeling full more easily than usual after a meal, and sometimes I feel a little sick too, but I don't throw up. A few days ago I did end up throwing up, but it was after working hard all day and I think I just may have been dehydrated, or food poisoning from a burger I had eaten 5-6 hours earlier. I'm very unsure and really would appreciate some help with this. Also I have been a little constipated now and then too. My BM seems to be a little more irregular than usual. Sometimes a little more than normal, usually not less. Could it be stress? Irritable Bowel Syndrome? I don't know, and I'm worried what it could be. Please help! Also: My one uncle has chrome's disease too, but I don't know if that means somehow it could be hereditary and I got it too or something. Just the caliper paint, and clean calipers and drums (or new drums, if they're close to needing changing anyway) for the best results, a primer won't work. I'd recommend paint rather than a spray can as it's far easier to get it exactly where you want it, and only where you want it. Paint them whatever colours you like, I don't see why what you're planning would look strange!

I remember once I had gone on a hike a couple of miles at least out to site. This was between 2003 and 05. This area out past many trees had numerous intertwining trenches. In these are fossils of some type of shell. If I remember correctly they were one to three inches across. It has been many years since I have been there and since I have been told no place like that exists near here by anyone I mention it too. I distinctly know that this is a real place yet forget where it was. The place I had lived at at this time was around a south-eastern michigan city. The site was about 60-120 minutes drive away.
